ChromEx is continuously developed with new functions adapted to students, teachers and schools to carry out knowledge tests and exams in a simple and safe way.
Here is an overview of some of the key functions of ChromEx divided into four categories: Create exam, Managing exams, Completing exams and Actions after the exam.
Link task in Google Classroom to the exam
Integration of ChromEx in Google Classroom allows you to connect a task in Google Classroom with an exam. (You need our ChromEx AddOn extension, from the Chrome Web Store).
Enter the start and stop time for the test
Force submission of exams
When exam time is over, submission takes place automatically.
Anonymize submissions
The teacher doesn’t know whose test is being corrected.
Add to Calendar
Date and time for exams are displayed in teachers’ and students’ Google Calendar.
Select operating system
Specify the operating system depending on which computers the students use during the exam. Turns the computers into “locked mode”, without the possibility of collaboration between students.

Allows you to copy or write a text and at the same time mark all the words you want to appear as gaps when the student opens the exams.
Add resources
Depending on which test client that is used, you can choose from several resources that can be attached to the student’s exam.

Monitor students’ work while writing their tests by clicking on the eye symbol next to each student.

All submitted exams are saved in a Google Document and a PDF files on the teacher’s Google Drive
All submitted exams are visible in Google Classroom and you can use the Google Classroom correction module for the exams students have written in ChromEx. (Requires you to create the exam from Google Classroom with our ChromEx AddOn extension from Chrome Web Store).
Templates (Only for cost center administrators)
By clicking on the padlock, the Administrator can decide which choices should be available to the teacher who uses the template.

Included fields
The fields are visible in the header of each submitted exam. The administrator decides which fields should be here. You can also add a field for teachers or for students.
Folder name
In this field you determine the name of the folder in which the exam is saved. You can use custom fields such as “Class” that the teacher fills in when creating the exam.
File name
In this field you determine the name of the submitted exam file. You can use fields that are created for the teacher and for the student.
Spacing
In this field you decide what line spacing the submitted exam should have.
