Via the tab “Exam templates” teachers can create templates in ChromEx which is very useful for exams that need the same settings.
Click “Create Exam Template” to create a template that you can use for specific exams, such as national tests, or if you want to apply the same settings to more exams.
When you create your exam template, you can choose settings, such as whether the exams should be anonymized, whether the students should have PIN codes for the exam, which test clients the exam can be started in and which aids are allowed. When settings are finished – press “Create”.
An exam template is perfect to use when you want specific safety settings for, e.g, national exams.
For certain functions / headings, there are padlocks that regulate whether anyone other than the person who created the exam template can change anything in the exam, such as the name or which test clients are allowed. If padlocks are unlocked, other teachers can modify the exam. If locked, changes can only be made by the person that created the exam.
Once you have created your exam template, you can scroll down the page and make additional settings, such as where the submitted exams should be stored, what information should be included and what modules and resources should be used during the exam.
When you have created your exam template, press “Activate Exam Template” to make it ready to use.
If you want to use a specific template for an exam, go to “Exams” and press “Use a custom template”. Now you can choose whether you want to use the standard template or your customized templates.
When using the template for your exam, select the start and end time for the exam. If you have chosen one or more PIN codes to be mandatory, enter the code before creating the exam. When finished – Press “Create”.
Once you have created the template by pressing “Create”, you can start adding students to the exam.
Go to “Exams” – you can now see the template you created.
